We like to say that the Sunday service is the least important thing we do.

That’s because real community is built by spending time together in homes, out and about, in smaller groups, grabbing coffee, studying Scripture, playing volleyball, sharing a meal, learning side-by-side, having a bonfire, or whatever else you like doing.

Mini church is one of the best ways to grow your relationship with Jesus and find community. There’s a group for you, we’re sure of it.

VISION: FULL LIFE IN CHRIST

Our vision is that every person would experience the fullness of life found only in Jesus.

Our mission is to encourage and equip people to grow in spiritual maturity as disciples of Jesus. This happens most effectively in community.

“...until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.” — Ephesians 4:13

WHY MINI CHURCH?

Mini Churches are small gatherings that live out what the New Testament calls ekklesia—the “called out ones” (Ephesians 1:22–23). They provide space for:

• Discipleship through relationships (2 Timothy 2:2)
• Developing spiritual gifts that build up the body
(1 Corinthians 12:7; 1 Peter 4:10)
• Practicing love for God and others (Matthew 22:37–39)

Our aim is not to make good Sunday service attenders, but faithful disciples living the way of Jesus daily.

HOW WE "DO" MINI CHURCH

Our model emphasizes organic relationships over programs, patterned after the early church in Acts 2:42–47.

We gather to:

• Welcome God’s presence (Matthew 18:20)
• Share life together through meals (Acts 2:46)
• Pray for one another (James 5:16)
• Study Scripture and apply it (2 Timothy 3:16–17)

START A MINI CHURCH

A TYPICAL GATHERING
(90 minutes)

1. Hospitality & Meal (30–40 mins)

Share food and conversation to build trust and belonging. (Romans 12:13; Acts 2:46)

2. Face-to-Face Sharing
Sit in a circle so everyone is included. Share a praise from the week to celebrate God’s work.

3. Opening Prayer (30 seconds)
Welcome the Holy Spirit and center hearts on Jesus. (Philippians 4:6)

4. Read God’s Word Options:

- Discuss Sunday’s sermon discussion guide

- Read through a book of the Bible (e.g., John, 1 John, Proverbs)

- Work through an approved resource that supports our vision

5. Discussion & Application
Invite responses to God’s Word and the Spirit’s leading. Facilitators guide discussion more than teach. (Colossians 3:16)

6. Prayer in Groups
Break into smaller groups to share requests and pray. This is often the most powerful part of the night. (Galatians 6:2; James 5:16)

7. Closing & Dismissal
Respect agreed-upon end times. Boundaries honor both hosts and participants. (1 Corinthians 14:40)

If (when) your group grows beyond ~25 people, prayerfully prepare to multiply into new groups. The Church grows not by seating capacity but by sending capacity. (Matthew 28:19–20; Acts 9:31)
